Duane is the Chief Operating Officer for the Marquette Group and the Chief Information Officer for their sister company USMotivation.
Duane is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology including Marquette’s industry leading Velocity sites, as well as Operations, Art, Billing, and Business Intelligence functions. Marquette Group has been profiled as one of the industry leaders in their push to Cloud & Utility Computing.
Prior to joining Marquette, Duane spent 6 years with Harrah’s (now Caesars) Entertainment and was most recently responsible for all Marketing and Gaming IT projects. He’s also held previous roles as a Manager with A.T. Kearney and a Systems Engineer with EDS.
In 2012, Duane was selected as one of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders which is a lifetime distinction. He has also been profiled in CIO Insight magazine, is a frequent presenter at IT conferences and universities.
The best part of my job is: The talented people and teams I get to work with every day to provide great products for our customers.
When I’m not doing this: I’m spending time with family, coaching kids sports, traveling, or participating (with varying degrees of success) in triathlons, half marathons and jiu-jitsu.
Few additional facts: I’m originally from Michigan and root for all Detroit teams. I have almost the exact same job as my dad did–adjusted a bit for the times.
