The 2011 Yellow Pages Association conference has revealed a dramatic shift in direction for the organization, according to the following press release.
LAS VEGAS, April 18, 2011 — The Local Search Association today announced the winners of its Industry Excellence Awards at this year’s annual conference: “Search Starts Here” in Las Vegas. The Industry Excellence Awards recognize local search and Yellow Pages publishers, marketers and suppliers for outstanding achievements in the directory advertising business.
This year’s winners exemplify leadership in a changing industry that’s evolving from publishing print directories to becoming integrated local search hubs – offering online and wireless platforms, social media, online video, search engine keywords, and more.
“We’re continuing our tradition of honoring those leaders in our industry who continue to inspire progress through their ideas and actions,” said Neg Norton, Local Search Association president. “It’s because of these pioneers in search that our industry will continue to be valuable for our members in the years to come.”
Dex One and Yellowbook were presented with the Local Search Association National Marketing Division 2010 Publisher Partnership Award for programs including a monthly Webinar series for clients that highlights new products, and services and a different, more successful approach to search engine marketing.
